I've weathered two weeks of mock exams and a week of stomach flu. Celebrated its completion over the weekend by sleeping in late and going to see The Phantom Of The Opera. I do love musicals.

Time for some WoT and SWTOR...

Welcome back!

I watched the phantom of the opera musical with my wife once. It was disturbing.

If I remember right, the dude was obsessed with the chick, killed a couple people, kidnapped her when she loved someone else, and I think died in the end?

Anyway that's what I remembered. Last musical we went to was Wicked when it was in town a few years ago. Really liked it, but not cheap. Great date night though.

I think it's a very metaphorical play. For face value, you've got the plot pretty much sorted, except the Phantom vanishes at the end instead dying. At a deeper level though, it starts getting really complex. I mean, I just took a shower and in the length of time I was inside, I couldn't properly figure him out...

There would be a lot to figure out like where'd he get food? Where'd he use a bathroom, how long had he really been in the rafters?

I do remember my head spinning wondering what I had just watched, and if it was as twisted as I was thinking it was. Probably should watch again.

Having a tragic life experience as getting 1/2 your face burnt and shunned would probably mess with your head anyway.
